St Bernard's Community Hub

St Bernard's Community Hub is a rare find in the west of Preston.  It's a lovely space established in Spring 2022 to provide the residents of Larches, Savick and Lea (and surrounding areas) with a safe space to enjoy community events. 

We are a registered charity with a mission to improve the condition of life for residents by providing facilities for their social welfare.

We have reached a stage in our development (Year 3) where the income we get from hiring out our venue, together with the profit from the various activities we run, means we are just about breaking even.  

We rely heavily on grant funding for any big projects - such as the installation of a gas meter and boiler (2025) and the  new  phase in our development (early 2026) -  wages for the hiring of paid staff.

Without doubt, however, our biggest assets are our volunteers, and in particular one of our founders, Emma Caffrey, without whose hard work we simply would not exist.
